Taking a tour of this historic city is a dream come true for those interested in cultural history. On the Kumasi City Tour you will visit the Military Museum, the Okomfo Anokye Sword (a sword that was driven into the ground and a belt that no mortal strength can uproot), an open air market (the biggest market in West Africa), Manhyia Palace and the Jubilee Museum at the Cultural Centre.

Itinerary

Day1:
Arrival in Accra where you will be welcomed at the Kotoka International Airport and transferred to your hotel.

Day2:
Orientation and registration at the various embassies and an afternoon tour of the city, taking you to the W.E.B Dubois Centre, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, National Museum and other places of interest.

Day3:
The tour departs to the Volta Region through the Shai Hills, for game viewing and a tour of the Shai Caves. Lunch will be arranged on the banks of the lower Volta River. The journey continues to Hohoe with an afternoon stopover at the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary. Overnight lodgings will be arranged in the region.

Day4:
A visit to the traditional rice storage caves and to find the mystery behind the mysterious palm tree. If time permits, we will then hike to Akpong Falls.

Day5:
Relax at the famous Wli Waterfall, enjoy a walking trail through the Agumatsa sanctuary. The sanctuary is situated amidst a thick semi-deciduous forest straddling two rivers a total of nine times with a large variety of bird life and butterflies. At the waterfall, thousands of straw coloured fruit bats nest at the adjacent cliffs. At the foot of the waterfall, there is a large pool with inviting waters that are perfect for a swim.

Day6:
Another day of hiking after breakfast to the Afajato Mountain. This mountain is shaped like a traditional yam mound and covered with a luxuriant tropical forest. It is an area well known for its bio-diversity, richness and myriad species of mammals and butterflies. Return to Accra where you will stay overnight.

Day7:
A day of leisure and shopping. The tour departs in the evening.

Cancellation policy

Individual bookings

- Cancellations made at least three days prior to tour departure date do not incur charges.
- No-show charge of $25 cover administrative costs.

Group Booking

Cancellations shall be in writing subject to the following penalties :

69 to 89 days prior to arrival of group = no charges.

Cancellation received 44-69 days prior to the arrival of the group will be subject to a cancellation penalty of 50% of contract amount.

Cancellation received 29-44 days prior to the arrival of the group will be subject to a cancellation penalty of 65% of contract amount.
Cancellation 14-229 days prior to the arrival of the group will be subject to a cancellation penalty of 75% of the contract amount.
Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the group's arrival will be subject to a penalty of 100% of the contract amount.
 Cancellations must be confirmed with the Tour operator in writing either by e-mail or fax. Where the client fails to inform the the tour operator the client will nevertheless be billed as per the terms stated above.

 WHL has to confirm receipt of cancellation for it to become valid.

Children Policy

The tour is not suitable for very young children. However, requests for taking along children will be assessed on their merit.
